Painted Guitars

So a friend of mine owns this coffee shop(the Corona Cafe). He had some small space left after he hung up some photos of a local artist and asked me if I wanted to put a couple of pieces up.

I had a couple of busted up guitars (although I actually think the electronics are still good) sitting in the garage, so I thought I should paint them up and hang those. Here was the result of that experiment.

New Saltworth Sundries Flyer. I was going for a sort of Heckle and Jeckle type magpie to reinforce their Neauvoux Olde Timey Style. Here is a web version of the image.

Quickie Elvis Flyer

Someone asked me to work up a flyer for their tailgate party. I am not sure what the Elvis reference is all about.
Time from start to finish 30 min.

Texecutioners need a new team logo

Assignment: New logo for the team jerseys of the Texas Rollergirls All-Star Team the Texecutioners.
Instructions from Customer: a chainsaw logo slashing across the chest or stomach of the jerseys. Blood splatter on the front coming from the chainsaw.
It should still say Texecutioners...was thinking on the blade or below.
Time: 2.5 hrs

Assignment:
I need a flyer for my yard by your yard. A free off SXSW show. It needs to be kinda east side influenced.

I took the lady of guadalupe added some street type treatment

Time: 2 hrs.

Flyer for an upcoming Event

Assignment: Make a Flyer promoting DJ CrackerJack and the Saltworth Sundries.
Time: 3 hrs.

I liked the idea of the Johnny Cash Flipping the bird Idea. I found a picture of Crackerjack flipping the bird so I redrew it in Illustrator. Added the needed text and Viola!. Flyer. I like the old school flyer feel of it as well.
