Derbylove 2011 T-shirt designs

A couple of these did not make it to Rollercon 2011, the premier roller derby event, but hopefully they will make it to the next big one.
These are my favorite designs of the lot, but I don't think all of them will be printed.

Super Action Man T-Shirt Design

As a part of their San Diego Comic Con 2011 launch of the Super Action Man Comic Book, Geekscape.net asked me to design a t-shirt that represented SAM in a skull format with Global hotspots on the back. I gave them a couple of color ways, and I think they printed on black and olive green. Here is the green version.

Painted Guitars

So a friend of mine owns this coffee shop(the Corona Cafe). He had some small space left after he hung up some photos of a local artist and asked me if I wanted to put a couple of pieces up.

I had a couple of busted up guitars (although I actually think the electronics are still good) sitting in the garage, so I thought I should paint them up and hang those. Here was the result of that experiment.

New Saltworth Sundries Flyer. I was going for a sort of Heckle and Jeckle type magpie to reinforce their Neauvoux Olde Timey Style. Here is a web version of the image.

Someone asked me to work up a flyer for their tailgate party. I am not sure what the Elvis reference is all about.
Time from start to finish 30 min.

Texecutioners need a new team logo

Assignment: New logo for the team jerseys of the Texas Rollergirls All-Star Team the Texecutioners.
Instructions from Customer: a chainsaw logo slashing across the chest or stomach of the jerseys. Blood splatter on the front coming from the chainsaw.
It should still say Texecutioners...was thinking on the blade or below.
Time: 2.5 hrs

Assignment:
I need a flyer for my yard by your yard. A free off SXSW show. It needs to be kinda east side influenced.

I took the lady of guadalupe added some street type treatment

Time: 2 hrs.

Flyer for an upcoming Event

Assignment: Make a Flyer promoting DJ CrackerJack and the Saltworth Sundries.
Time: 3 hrs.

I liked the idea of the Johnny Cash Flipping the bird Idea. I found a picture of Crackerjack flipping the bird so I redrew it in Illustrator. Added the needed text and Viola!. Flyer. I like the old school flyer feel of it as well.

Recent Assignments

Assignment: Take this tattoo art and convert it for use on a T-Shirt. Use only Red, White, Yellow Black and Grey.

iCandye OneStar Converse

iCandye Wanted a pair so I painted up these converse one Star for her.

Again Since iCandye is a Hotrod Honey, I opted to go with the racing stripes on the toes. I really like that they are off to the side and that the iCandye looks kinda wet on the side of the shoe.

Unrelated Derbyvision thing - Multimedia Games Charity event

For the last couple of years my new workplace, Multimedia Games has had a charity event benefiting Big Brothers and Big Sisters. Being new I was asked to create the artwork for this years event.
Here is the Art. I went with this kind of Dr. Strangelove meets Freebirds thing.
